Our People

With strong ties to the community, years of experience and a devotion to early education, our team is everything you could want for your child. We are all qualified and fully-trained educators. We place great importance on building a strong rapport with both child and family to ensure the best possible learning journey. At Papilio Early Learning Blackburn we believe in consistency, compassion and communication.

Hello, my name is Kara Hilton and I am the Centre Manager here at Papilio Early Learning Blackburn.
During my personal journey, I have been involved in an early childhood environment for 15 years. It is my passion, pride and joy.

As a Centre Manager I strongly uphold that every child deserves the right to self- esteem a feeling of “I belong” and “I am valued”. When children feel worthwhile and valued they are far more likely to value and consider others as they go through life.

Under my guidance and care children will feel heard, respected, cherished and supported. I believe that children learn so much about the world, themselves and their peers from exploration of play in their early childhood.
My objective is to provide the children, families and educators with safe, inclusive, caring and loving environment, where I will acknowledge their achievements and support them through their time here.

We pride ourselves on delivering enjoyable learning experiences and a variety of extra-curricular programs. Our main aim is to ensure all children have a productive and positive experience while they are at our service. We want every child to go home with a smile on their face and a lasting memory of their time here.

Our centre cook Amber, who is very much loved for all her yummy and nutritional lunches. Our four week rotating menu is often revised according to the children and families input. Our infants have the best of both worlds’ having fresh puréed vegetables and the choice of the warm lunch which is served every day.
